Part 3 - The Fall and the Restoration
Overview: Restoration in Christ: The Lordship of Christ
Synopsis
To know Yahweh as one's God and no other is fulfilled through the
lordship of Jesus Christ and obedience to Him. "Lord" is not a name for
Jesus, but a title of authority. As a man Jesus humbled Himself and became
obedient to the point of death on the cross. Therefore God has exalted Him
above all "that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to
the glory of God the Father." The obedience of Christ is in contrast to the disobedience of Adam and Eve,
who elevated themselves above
God. As head and lord over all Jesus
has become the "author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him."
