Part 3 - The Fall and the Restoration

Overview: Restoration in Christ: Life in Christ

Synopsis

Accompanying faith in Christ is regeneration where one who is spiritually dead becomes a partaker of God's life by being joined to the risen and living person of Jesus Christ. To this end Jesus claimed to be "the life." The rebellion of Adam and Eve was an attempt to enrich their souls to self-sufficiency. Restoration involves denial of self-sufficiency through the cross of Christ and an accounting that one cannot live apart from God. Rather than glory in man's dead works, the redeemed are to glory in God and allow the fullness of His living presence, through the Spirit, to manifest itself in love and good works.
