Overview: Reckoning Life in Christ
Synopsis
A second area of reckoning, where the believer is to take an accounting
and apply faith, is the place of new life in Christ in the spiritual realm.
Everlasting life, which begins at regeneration, is something that is
inseparable from the very life of Jesus Christ. The believer is to reckon
that he is "alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord." The believer is to
reckon that the entering into the heavenly places by Christ is his own
entering into heaven, because God "made us alive together with Christ ...
and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." This is
one aspect of believing upon Jesus Christ as the Truth, who said, "I am the
resurrection and the life."
