Part 3 - The Fall and the Restoration
Overview: Loving God With All One's Heart
Synopsis
Yahweh's rightful place is one of honor and glory over His creation. As the
only true God, He deserves center place in the heart. Thus Jesus showed the First
Commandment as meaning one should "love the LORD your God with
all your heart." Jesus restores the believer to this place from which
Adam and Eve fell, where God is put first as all in all. Agape
love elevates God above oneself, giving way to Him. Loving God in this way is to
glory in His Being and works and to no longer glory in oneself. This love
from the heart involves the giving of self in the realms of the soul, mind,
and strength.
